SILVIO PAUTASSO

Born Iin Nichelino (Torino), Italy in 1956; he discovers his passion for animation films in 1973 and starts Art Institute S.Carlo in Torino studying drawing.

In 1976 starts a discontinuous co-operation with Bruno Bozzetto Studio in Milan.
In 1978 starts working in animation as a professional.
He carries on his career as an assistant animator first, then as a cheef-animator and finally as a director.
His experience and skill have improved trought any kind of product, from advertising to entertainment, that make him one of the most succesfull professional in the Italian Animation.

During the last years, as an animation, storyboard and lay out supervision, he has been involved in feature films (The Blue Arrow - The Little Seagull and the Cat), giving his contribution to the fine development that the Italian Animation has recently started.

Pautasso has founded in Jannuary 2000 Motus S.r.l. with Giorgio Valentini.

As co-writer and producer Silvio Pautasso has also given his contribution to the 15' shortfilm D.N.A. directed by Giorgio Valentini, that has obtained several awards in Europe as well the Best Animation Shortfilm Award at the Palm Spring International Short film Festival and the 1th Price as Best Shorfilm or Animation Film at San Josè Cinequest Film Festival.
